Dr Anita Amin offers private dermatology clinics across Sussex for all skin conditions, including at the Nuffield Hospital in Brighton and The Montefiore Hospital in Hove. Anita is an experienced Consultant Dermatologist in Sussex and sees adults and children for everything from lumps and bumps to rashes. Mole checks, mole mapping and skin cancer assessments are among the most common reasons patients come to see her. Simple procedures may sometimes be possible on the day. Larger skin surgery, such as excision of suspicious moles and skin cancer, will usually be booked in for a later date, but with a much shorter wait than is typical on the NHS. She also treats a wide range of inflammatory skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis and acne in all age groups, and has a particular interest in skin allergy, paediatric dermatology and the skin problems of older people.

Anita believes that compassion, care and listening are at the heart of good dermatology. Her aim is to deliver holistic care for all skin conditions in a calm and friendly setting, and she understands that any procedure, however small, can feel worrying. She will take time to explain things and put you at ease. She is recognised by all the major health insurers, including Bupa, AXA Health, Aviva, Cigna and Vitality, and self-pay patients are also welcome.
She is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists, the British Society for Paediatric Dermatology, the Senior Skin Group and the Royal Society of Medicine. Anita is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, and is regulated by the General Medical Council (GMC number 4370394).
Locations & Appointments
Anita’s clinic is at the Nuffield Hospital in Woodingdean, Brighton and she also sees patients at The Montefiore Hospital in Hove. If you can’t easily travel, she offers video and photo consultations so you can be seen from home. Both hospitals are easy to reach from Brighton city centre by public transport, with on-site parking.
Outside work, Anita is a mum of four and her husband is a GP. She enjoys gardening and walks along the seafront and on the South Downs.
